It’s a great opportunity to tell you about NFL players from Ohio State who have brought so much excitement and energy to the football field. Through the years, so many have made a lasting impression on the game. I remember when A.J. Hawk, an All-American linebacker from 2006 was drafted fifth overall in the 2006 why nfl quarterbacks need short names draft by the Green Bay Packers. He was an incredible player and a great leader on and off the field.

When I think of great Ohio State players, my mind immediately goes to the quarterback position. It’s no surprise, considering the number of outstanding quarterbacks, including Troy Smith, that have come through the program. Troy Smith was a Heisman Trophy winner in 2005 and a two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year. It seems like all those years ago, but it feels like only yesterday that I watched Troy Smith make play after play.

Then, of course, there was Ted Ginn Jr., who was an incredible wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner from 2004-2006. He was the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year in 2006 and first-team All-America in 2005. I remember watching his catches and how he made those plays look so smooth.

And of course, we have to mention Kurt Coleman. He was a terrific Cheap Jerseys free shipping safety for the Buckeyes from 2007-2009, earning All-American honors in 2009. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL draft and became an instant force for them. I’m always a proud Buckeye when I see how successful Kurt has been in the NFL and how he’s helped the Eagles become a contender in the NFC.

All of the players I’ve mentioned here have made great contributions to their teams in the NFL, and it’s exciting for me to see them using the skills and knowledge they learned at Ohio State to be successful. It’s also great to see them giving back and being great role models for the next generations of Buckeyes.

And then, there’s the great Joey Bosa, who was selected third overall by the San Diego Chargers in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was a two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2014 & 2015 and he even won the Lombardi Award in 2014. Joey was an unstoppable force with the Buckeyes, and it’s been awesome to see him being just as unstoppable in the NFL.

Finally, I can’t talk enough about Ezekiel Elliott, a two-time All-American running back in 2013 and 2014, the Doak Walker Award winner in 2014, and one of Ohio State’s most explosive players in recent memory. He was selected fourth overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2016 NFL Draft, and has been a great addition to their team. He has an incredible burst of speed and power, and his ability to make tacklers miss is something to behold.

These are just a few of the amazing NFL players from Ohio State. There are so many more, and each one has made a huge impact on the game. From the generational talent of Troy Smith, to the consistent excellence of A.J. Hawk and the always entertaining Ted Ginn Jr., to the state-of-the-art ability of Joey Bosa and Ezekiel Elliott, it’s great to celebrate the successes of all the Indianapolis Colts.

These Buckeye players have brought us a lot of memories, and we know they will continue to bring us more in the future. They all have the talent to make plays, and the heart to bring their teams to victory. It’s amazing to be able to watch so many of my fellow Buckeyes in the NFL. It’s a great opportunity to cheer for familiar faces, as they make Ohio State proud.
