As a die-hard excel nfl schedule fan, I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of three teams from one division making the playoffs. Sometimes, it’s simply a matter of luck. If one team manages to take a wild card spot, then that does leave a chance for the other two teams in the same division to make it. It’s how Minnesota and Green Bay ended up making it to the playoffs in 2015, with the Packers getting a wild card spot. It’s an unexpected event, sure, but in the unpredictable world of the NFL, anything can happen.
I think moments like these can be incredibly exciting and memorable. It’s already an accomplishment for one team to make the playoffs, so how much more empowering would it be for three teams from the same division to make it? It would be a testament to the dedication and strength of those particular divisions.
Now, if you were to ask me if I think it’s even possible for three teams from one division to make it to the playoffs, my answer would likely be something along the lines of, “Sure it’s possible – after all, anything is possible in the NFL.”
In addition, I think that other factors to consider are the strength and talents of the three teams, the ability to handle the pressure of playing against each other in the same division, the odds of luck playing in their favour, and the strength of the other teams in the division. All these elements can make it exceedingly difficult for even one team to make it into the playoffs, let alone three from the same division.
And lastly, there’s the fact that competition within a single division can be fierce. Even if the individual teams have some beautiful play and spirit, it can be hard to go up against teams that know your exact strategy and your winning plays. Each team will have to find the balance between playing their own game and making sure they still come out on top.
